What's Otter's
rating system?
"You're going out there a youngster but you've got to come back a star!"
- Forty Second Street

But what happens after the unknown becomes a star...and gets tired of carrying the directors shows? And the director is on the way down...and the star goes off to a career in Hollywood?

Howard Hawks directed this screwball comedy, with much of the action taking place on the Chicago-New York train, the Twentieth Century.

John Barrymore and Carole Lombard chew scenery with abandon, there are many amusing plot twists and many funny characters, a good evening's entertainment.

This movie was made into a musical play much later, I think Mr. Otter said it was written in the seventies...we saw that last summer, and it was quite enjoyable too. Book a ride on either one, you won't be sorry you did.
