This is the short review for those who haven't seen the movie yet; if you've seen it, you can go to the long review.

It was amazingly good.
The battle scenes were incredible.
The ents were not at all as I pictured them, but they were wonderful and glorious to see 'live'.
There was a little more character development in this, although not as much as I had hoped for...but it's a darn long book!
Go see it.
Don't wait.
See it while it's in the big theatres.
You'll be glad you did.
