What's Otter's
rating system?
Firefighters solve a series of murders that involve carefully set fires.

Not bad, worth seeing once. I like Kurt Russell, and William Baldwin was kinda cute too. The plot isn't so much of a much, it's VERY predictable...you see a scene and you can easily point out the guy who's about to get killed, and it is really obvious who is setting the fires.

Donald Sutherland is GREAT as the convicted arsonist; he's so nuts it's just a treat to watch, he's the only reason this one got any rating on the Character scale...and the end scene in the factory, with the drums going off like fireworks, that's seriously good explodo too.

I stayed up til 1 am watching this one, Mr. Otter having given up at 11:30 to get some sleep before we got up early the next morning to go camping...so of course I had to torment our fellow campers all weekend, as we kept lighting fires to get warm, by quoting Robert De Niro from this one: "fire...is a living thing...it eats...it breathes..."
