Bandits, duh. What did you think it was about?
OK, OK. Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton play two extremely amusing crooks who end up together by chance, figure out a way to rob a lot of banks, and get famous...until the big shootout at the end. This was actually a pretty darn good movie. I saw it at the Red Cross while doing apheresis, and it sure as heck kept my attention off the needles in my arms! I do like Bruce Willis, he's not too bad an actor, although you generally wonder if they shot him up with novocaine before letting him on camera. Billy Bob Thornton is more and more becoming an Otter Family Favorite actor, Mr. Otter and I both like him a lot (he was BRILLIANT as Davy Crockett in Alamo), and he was just as wonderful here, as a total hypochondriac anal-retentive worrywart health-nut thief. And then watching them get picked up by one of those true crime shows, and getting more and more famous, and finding it harder and harder not to be recognized, and the complications with the woman they sort of kidnap... The plot is one of those mile-a-minute things with lots of twists and turns, and not to give anything away, but just stick with it, you'll have a lot of fun and be glad you did. |
