Dan Akroyd and John Belushi as Elwood and
Jake Blues, on a mission to
save the Catholic school they grew up in.
"We're 108 miles from Kansas City. We've got
a full tank of gas, half a
pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're
wearing sunglasses." What a great flick. Explosions. Car chases. Funny lines. GREAT music. Hilarious situations. And the bad guys get it in the end. What are you waiting for? All the characters are quirky and amusing, esp. the mystery woman (Carrie Fisher) with the big guns. Jake and Elwood's deadpan acceptance of any wierd thing that happens (and they do) only adds to the insanity, and by the end I am always just ROTFL. If you haven't seen this one, you are missing one of the best movies ever. Run, don't walk to your library and video store and get it. |
