Something is killing the residents of an East Texas nursing home and it's up to Elvis and JFK to stop it...

I am not making this up, truly. Bruce Campbell is really excellent as either Elvis or an Elvis impersonator, you're never really sure which...Ossie Davis plays JFK (you just have to see it, trust me, it works) and they take on a mummy that is sucking out the souls of the elderly there.

Bruce Campbell is always good, even mugging like crazy in Army of Darkness, and here he is really at the top of his form. He is more like Elvis than Elvis, in many ways, and is a whole lot of fun to watch. Ossie Davis is also excellent as JFK, and there are a few good supporting actors as well, although not many, since this film was shot on such a low budget that they couldn't actually use any Elvis songs or real footage for the Elvis film festival Campbell watches on tv...the licensing costs would have eaten up most of the film's budget!

Anyway. This is an odd an quirky little gem, fun to watch, a little bit of suspense, good characters, good dialogue...definitely not one to miss. Evidently it got a five minute standing ovation at its premier...I wouldn't go that far, but I did enjoy it.
