Well, I do have a soft spot in my heart for the remake of the Cat People from 1982, so when the AGVAPSNBA* convened, and the theme was black and white horror movies before 1960, I asked Squirrel Woman to bring this one...and it was kinda cool.

The special effects budget must have been nil, because the workarounds they used to create atmosphere, and also to have the panther come and cause various amounts of destruction, were ingenious, and much creepier than it would have been with a big budget. Although there were a couple of scenes when they were obviously throwing a big stuffed animal around, mostly it was atmospheric and cool.

Worth seeing if you like old horror movies, kinda fun.
