At least that's what they claim, but this boring clunker of a movie has absolutely nothing to do with that charming book except the fact that there are twelve children in the family. Everything else has been changed to protect the original book.

This was silly, idiotic and boring. Steve Martin is a coach, his wife is a sports writer, they both want a big family, end up with 12 kids, then (surprise) have problems when they want to also have careers. A lot of stupid 'dad is an idiot and can't take care of kids' humor, very thin plot, don't even bother.
