OK, you have to know right up front that Mr.
Otter and I are serious Jay
and Silent Bob fans...loved Dogma
(and who didn't?), thought Chasing Amy
was thoughtful and intelligent, and laughed
hysterically at Jay and Silent
Bob Strike Back and Mallrats (ok, I laughed
hysterically, Mr. Otter
maintained a dignified silence, mostly, but
still enjoyed them). So I
finally got to see the first of these
mini-masterpieces...and it was
great!
One day in the lives of two convenience
store clerks, with a lot of
kinda wierd stuff happening. Jay and Silent
Bob are the pushers that hang
out in front of the store, with a few good
bits to do, and the two main
characters are wonderful, losers who at the
same time are Everyman...and
incredibly funny, as well.
Do yourself a favor, the next time your brain
decides it wants something
out of the ordinary, get a Kevin Smith movie;
your brain (and your funny
bone) will thank you.
