What's Otter's

Two bounty hunters after the same outlaw. Who will prevail?

I have loved this movie since I was a young Otter. It's the second of the trilogy of spaghetti Westerns directed by Sergio Leone and starring a very young Clint Eastwood.

A bunch of us were celebrating a gift-giving occasion with Maid-of-Awesome and The Fiance (recently promoted from The Boyfriend) and I opened my present...and it was this set. I actually screamed, I was so happy.

Not only is this movie good, but the blu-ray version of these three movies (the set is called The Man With No Name trilogy) is WONDERFUL. They've restored and cleaned up the prints- no longer muddy, blurred and so dark you sometimes can't see what's happening onscreen, this movie is sharp and crisp and lovely. Even Mr. Otter, who never liked these movies, is much more favorably inclined toward them now that you can SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING.

This one is also fun because Lee Van Cleef (the Ugly in The Good, The Bad and the Ugly is kind of a good guy. Or is he?...

Well worth renting, or buying. If you don't have a blu-ray player, this is the time to get it and make this your first new purchase...you'll be glad you did.
