This is one of the funniest, most touching, most charming movies ever. Yes, Andie MacDowell can't act, but she's great as the clueless American, and Hugh Grant is the apotheosis of the tongue tied repressed Brit with a lot of charm. Simon Callow is also wonderful, one of the best parts in the movie. And the f word has never been so incredibly hilarious... This is one to see RIGHT AWAY, and enjoy over and over...like wine, it gets better with age. |
