I'm a Teen Librarian, and this summer I had a Teen Anime Movie Program once a month, which was really fun. We showed Steamboy, this movie, and Sword of the Stranger.

I knew going into the summer that I wanted to show the other two, which I had seen...but what to pick for a third movie? I knew better than to google Teen Anime, because what you get from that search is mostly hentai, teen anime PORN. Don't think I'll be showing that at the library...!

So I went online and looked for librarians' lists of movies their teens had liked, and this one was on several.

And it was pretty good.

The animation was excellent, unsurprisingly. The characters were well drawn, especially the three high school friends and the younger sister. And the surprise at the end worked very well and was foreshadowed nicely.

A good evening's entertainment!
