LA cop is sent to Alaska to investigate a
murder, so that he'll be out
of the way for an investigation of his home
police department. Because
it's the time of year when the sun never
sets, he can't sleep, and
things get wierd.
This movie was really good, actually. Pacino
was (not surprising)
excellent in spite of his bad toupe, and it's
the best thing Robin
Williams has done in years. Hilary Swank was
really good as well.
The movie is interesting mostly for the
camera work, and Pacino's
descent into sleep deprivation, since the
ending is obvious the first
time Pacino and Williams meet. (not to
mention if you have ever seen any
Al Pacino movies, you know what always
happens...) But definitely worth
the entrance fee, go see it.
