Mr. Otter was out of town for the weekend, and in between working, being horribly ill, and dealing with a sick cat or two, I found a bit of time to watch a movie. And this was my first choice.

This is a movie I've heard about forever. I really love Michael Caine (serious honey) in pretty much anything, and especially in a fast-moving and witty caper flick.

And I was totally not disappointed. A bunch of Brits (under the aegis of Noel Coward, the crime boss) get together to steal a shipment of gold from Turin, Italy. They plan a complicated job, and seeing this happen, more or less, is a joy. Especially the trio of adorable Mini-Coopers that are used in part of the job.

I don't want to say too much, this is one it's better to discover for yourself...the humor is great and very British, and seeing Noel Coward as the Regiphile crime boss was a hoot. And the ending? sorry, you'll have to see it for yourself. It's well worth it.
