From the novel of the same name by Peter
Benchley. Big mean shark
terrorizes a vacation beach town during the
summer tourist season.
OK, is there anyone left who hasn't seen this one? Raise your hands...no, I thought not. I saw this the summer it was rereleased, the same summer that Alien came out...they have pretty much the same plot, and I thought this was better! Certainly scarier... Richard Dreyfuss is at the top of his adorableness, not a honey, but cute as all getout; Robert Shaw is the only person in this movie that even attempts to create a character (he earned one face for this movie), but it's a great ride, excellent/believeable special effects, great suspense and lots of blood and body parts. See it again, you'll be glad you did. |
