I started reviewing movies in January, 2002. I review every movie that I watch, whether it's in a movie theatre or on a tv or computer, and whether or not I've seen it before. Since all of these things make a difference in how I perceive the movie I'm watching, my ratings will tell you this and more. I average 2-3 movies a week, and usually post my new reviews once a month or so.
Here are some other good links:
Netflix
Mr. Otter and I have been members for years, and love Netflix. Almost everything that's out on DVD
is available, and they mail them pretty quickly. Over the last few years we have not had a lot of
problems with damaged disks, and we really love being able to see movies without actually buying
them.
Ebay
An excellent place to see what the street price for dvds is. Often you can pick up previously
owned movies in perfect condition for a fraction of the cost of new ones.
Deep Discount DVD
The best prices around for new dvds, a very complete selection and free
(although slow) shipping.
Amazon.com
Free shipping on orders over $25 at this time, and usually pretty
competetive prices.
Columbia House
You can join and get five DVDs for about 25 bucks (you pay shipping for
each) and then have to buy four more at full prices (20 dollars if you
choose carefully) within two years. Overall, that's about 10 bucks a dvd,
not bad. Unless you join four times concurrently, as I did, and
have to buy 16 of the puppies all at the same time...
Fame Tracker
Stay
current on all the stars with this very amusing "Farmer's almanac of
celebrity worth"
The Defamer
All
reviews and no gossip makes Otter a dull reviewer! this is a catty, timely
and VERY funny LA gossip web site.
