From the book of the same name by J. K.
Rowling
OK, this was good. I still like the book better, mostly because there's more detail and character development (I loved the classes with the woman teaching divination, they made me laugh so hard) but the cuts were intelligent, and the special effects were spectacular. And Kenneth Branagh. When I heard he was playing Gilderoy Lockhart, my first thought was, nah, he's not good looking enough...but I was wrong. He was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. What a hoot! just loved that. Dobbie was too big, but looked right, and of course the rest of the cast was great.
As was the case with the previous Harry
Potter movie, much care was
taken with the script to be as faithful to
the book as possible...but
even with judicious cutting of unnecessary
events, this is over a two
hour movie, for one of the shorter
books...how long is the Goblet of
Fire movie going to be? Should be
interesting...
