He's back, he's green and he's gross...
OK, everyone told me that Shrek 2 was even better than the original...I don't think so, but it was fun. Shrek, his princess, and the doggone annoying donkey are all just as funny as ever, and they are joined by a host of new amusing characters when Fiona takes Shrek home to see her parents (played by Julie Andrews and John Cleese)...and they run into Puss in Boots, Antonio Banderas. Very funny, many visual and pop-cultural references to keep the grownups amused, a good solid storyline. No, it wasn't as good as the first, but it was a whole lot of fun. Not to mention watching it with three other women, and between the four of us devouring:
Anyway. Worth seeing once, probably not something you need to buy unless you're a devoted fan. |
