Maid-of-Awesome loved this, and she and The Fiance brought it over for me and Mr. Otter to see.

And it's a fun movie, which we enjoyed. Good characters, funny parts, serious parts, great animation.

But...it's part of a great herd of 'retake on fairy tales' movies that have been thundering about the movie theaters for the last few years, and will continue until some other genre makes them extinct. A good example of its kind, cute and fun...but a couple of months later, I remember very little that stands out except that I was perplexed by the way her hair didn't tangle or catch on things unless the plot demanded it...

Fun but a rental, unless you really love it.
