Fred and Ginger are at it again, this time set in Venice with many songs,
dances and misunderstandings.
Yes, it does sound familiar, does it not? but oh, how happily familiar. Fred
and Ginger are at their best in this story of mistaken identities with lots
of songs and dances. Beautiful costumes, lovely settings, great physical
humor, lots of laughs. Edward Everett Horton, Eric Blore and Helen Broderick
(than whom there is no better role model for a woman of un certain
age) are all great fun to watch as well.
This is deservedly a classic, and if you haven't seen it yet you should be
ashamed of yourself. Go get it NOW and watch it and pretend you saw it years
ago so people stop giving you those pitying looks and shaking their heads
sadly.
