What's Otter's
rating system?
A bunch of college kids go to a cabin in the woods to party...and one by one, they die horribly. Could it be the two rednecks in the next cabin who are killing them all?

Actually...no.

This movie has been eagerly awaited by all good Browncoats (Firefly and Serenity fans) because the eponymous Tucker (no other name) is played by none other than Alan Tudyk, aka Wash in the aforementioned series.

And although, looking at his filmography on IMDB, he does get a lot of work, not much of it ends up on the screen Chez Otter, since most of it is television shows we don't watch. But this one? Oh HELL yes.

Spider Jerusalem came to visit the weekend of New Year's and brought this along. He knew we wanted to see it, and figured we'd enjoy it, and he was not wrong.

Like Behind the Mask: the Rise of Leslie Vernon, this is an extremely amusing parody of slasher movies. All the elements are there, but the reasons for things happening have been changed.

Tucker and Dale are indeed two rednecks in a cabin in the woods, but they are actually nice guys, trying to renovate it as a vacation home...and the college kids are making snap judgements about them, and every time one of them dies stupidly, it looks more and more like Tucker and Dale are killing them, only they're NOT.

And it's hilarious.

If some blood and gore and a lot more laughs sound good to you, rent this one...or even buy it, you'll probably watch it more than once.
