Alcoholic ambulance-chasing lawyer on his last legs takes a case in desperation that turns his life around.

Still on my Paul Newman jag...this wasn't bad...very very slow to get started, and the big plot twist was pretty obvious, but Serious Honey Newman was excellent, and when the courtroom stuff finally got started, it got a whole lot better. Believeable, good story, worth seeing.

But Charlotte Rampling, ugh! As close to an anti-honey as you can get without going into serious Stallone or Costner territory. Scary eyes, and couldn't act her way out of a paper bag...and she's STILL OUT THERE MAKING MOVIES. You have been warned.

So. Worth seeing for Newman, try not to look at Rampling too much.
